J-CAT JENKINS CERTIFICATION COURSES The Village Art Studio, Inc., in Manchester, Georgia ( Barbara Smenner, owner ) is proud to announce that Gary and Kathwren Jenkins have selected us to be the host studio for their Jenkins Certification Classes. J-CAT. We will be the host studio for the entire midwest and east coast beginning in 2008. Gary and Kathwren will PERSONALLY teach the 1st and 3rd one week session and possibly the 2nd session also. If they are not available for the 2nd session, Jenkins National Staff Teacher, Barbara Smenner, along with two other Jenkins National Staff Teachers from Florida will teach. Nearest airports to our studio: Atlanta, Georgia (60 miles) or Columbus, Georgia (40 miles) Supplies: YOU WILL NOT NEED TO BRING ANY EASELS. WE HAVE FULLY ADJUSTABLE FLOOR EASELS WITH YOUR CHOICE OF STOOL OR CHAIR OR STAND. You will need to bring the following supplies: Masking Tape and Scotch Tape, Baby Wipes for cleaning hands. VIVA Paper Towels, Note Pads and Pencil. Jar for cleaning brushes and Oderless Turp, Brushes and paint you have on hand. Photo Information: If you will be painting from photos, PLEASE HAVE ALL PHOTOS ENLARGED TO 8 X 10 COLOR & B&W BEFORE ATTENDING CLASS. THIS WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY. Items you may purchase at the studio: Tracing paper, Graphite, Jar with grid for turp and cleaning brushes,ODERLESS TURP, Brushes and Palette knives, Paints, Ready made frames, Easels ( floor & table), Palette boxes, Palette paper.
